Deafening Silence

Silence engulfs the space.

Its power suffocating.

Like a thousand purple hands reaching for my neck.

Its power incomprehensible.

Providing overwhelming lucidity.

Drowning in its quiescence

So terribly deep, where no one can listen.

Thoughts darting like silver fish.

Unable to catch but a mere glimpse.

Insecurities circle like Orcas ravenous for my flesh.

Nightly silence, my greatest enemy.

A white-watered wave crashing upon me with profound power,

Filled with salty, bitter truth.

Nightly silence will be my demise,

For I am unable to tame it, I run.

But my tired legs can only travel so far.

Awaiting the day for the purple hands to tighten their grasp.
